Thing 23 we have taken the survey. 23 Things was very difficult to keep up with everyday, but it has been the most interesting project we have tackled. It has taught these old dogs many new tricks. Now trying to remember what we have learned is another story. We will do our best! We are sure that the things we were taught will also be helpful to our patrons as well as ourselves. Thanks to our director Ginny and NEFLIN for keeping us up dated with the new technology being offered. We can hardly believe we finished it by the dead line!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thing 21 is a wonderfull tool for any one that has a dead line on a project they are working on.

Thing 20 was very interesting to us. But we think that nothing will ever totally take the place of a REAL book in your hand. Also with the blessing of having a library to be able to borrow a book & not have to buy it. It may prove to be to expensive for the libraries to go to hand held equipment. So our guess is that books are the best & will remain the best!!!!!!!!

We have used Thing 19. We have taken classes on Web Junction & have watched videos on Library 2.0 group. They were both very helpfull to us.

Thing 18 LaDonies & Joyce

We are familiar with Face Book . LaDonies 's granddaughter has an account & shares it with her all the time ! Joyce's daughter has signed her up and she goes on it once in a while. Her husband also has an account & keeps up with his preacher friends & uses it as a wind down time mostly after preaching to fellowship with them.

BKM WHEELERS are off and at it this morning. The stops today are in Bradford and Union counties, one of our stops especially keeps us hopping with about 20 to 25 patrons in a 2 hr time period. It's just amazing at some of the people we get to meet and visit with on the bookmobile. It is a pleasure to be able to help them find the material they are needing. Well its on the road again. Ya'll have a wonderful day and stay dry in all this rainy weather we are having.

Well, it seems like we have not been able to find the time to blog or to work on the 23 Things for a while. We have been really busy with the bookmobile and it's age related problems. We have been on the road for 9 years now. That's a lot of miles on the back roads of the three counties we serve. Things were shaken loose & corroded! Guess it was just time for some cleaning and tightening up. Twenty seven stops twice a month has really taken a tole on our Baby, but now we are all tighten up and on the road again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were just checking out some of the 23Thing sites that have been posted. 23 camellias was very interesting today and we agree with Ms. Ginny on Thing 16 that it would be nice to have a video for our libraries. We see Mary B. with Union Chicks is busy trying to get things together for thier new library. You go Ms. Mary.

Today our BKM is not feeling well, we had to get the battery jumped off. Maybe it will be ok.

We signed up with Google Reader. We were excited to see the results of RSS, it was really neat to see the blog accounts that we are following on the Google Reader. At a later date we will add other topics of interest.

Our stops today are all in Union County. The frist stop is Spires then on to Providence and Worthington. Our faithful people at Providence has been with us for eight years and they just seem like a part of our family. It's amazing how people can touch your heart.

THING 3 shows me that I can use Special Search Engines to look for other bloggers. This makes it much faster to find them.

We are off to Spires then to Providence & will end up in Worthington Springs at the Timber Villiage Mobile Home Park. This stop has turned out to be one of our most fruitfull.But we do see a change of patrons because of the coming and going of people with it bring a place of rental property.

The film by John Blyberg reminds us to keep trying to stay up with things as for as blogging daily. It's a never ending task with computers and everyday living, doing the thing we have to do on our work schedule and personal life. Hopefully I can make myself keep up with blogging. I know it will help me to keep up with the changing time.

Today we are going to be in Lake Butler. Our stops start at 9:30. We like being able to come to the office for lunch and the assurance of a clean restroom is WONERFUL!!!!!!!!! (don't always have that away from the office)

Our first stop begins at 9:30am at one of our Lake Butler Parks and will end at Lake Butler Housing at 6 pm. We enjoy having our patron at each place, the young and old are always a blessing. We are the BKM Staff LaDonies & Joyce. We have been wheeling for 8 years now. It still amazes us at the sites and entertainment this job has to offer! How blessed we are to have such wonderful co-workers not only in the cooperative office but in the three county libraries as well!!!!!!!!!
